Metrojet Limited is honoured to have been awarded the Caring Company 2021/22 logo by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS). The award is in recognition of Metrojet’s efforts towards social responsibility and commitment to its employees, the community, and the environment.
Being the longest-serving business jet operator in Hong Kong, Metrojet has initiated and participated in numerous sustainable and community-related activities over the past many years. The Metrojet Staff Recreational Committee organises “A Day with Food Angel” every year for the team to assist in preparing food and meal boxes for the needy in Hong Kong. To provide a chance for the younger generation to explore the business aviation industry, Metrojet continuously recruits interns from Hong Kong local universities. One of the Lead Captains, Stewart Borg, put in significant effort with Metrojet’s Flight Operations team to provide planning support for Pacific Mission Aviation in the Islands of Micronesia, a voluntary maritime rescue and aeromedical service operator. Metrojet believes in giving back to the community, both locally and regionally.
“Metrojet is in business for the long term, and we are obliged to contribute positively to the community we live in. Our company and staff work as a team to promote social and environmental responsibilities and we pledge our support to carry out more corporate social responsibility activities in the future. This is just the beginning,” said Mr Gary Dolski, Chief Executive Officer of Metrojet Limited.
Ms Mabel Yiu, Metrojet’s Head of Human Resources also commented: “We wish to express our appreciation to the Bo Charity Foundation Limited for the Caring Company nomination. We are very grateful to have the opportunity to pay back to society. At Metrojet, we treasure our people and the community as much as aviation safety and service quality.”
